Server Cover Letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your advertisement for Server that appeared in ‘Wednesday Daily’. I understand from your ad that you are looking for an energetic, experienced, and bilingualist (English and Spanish) server for your avant-garde restaurant and would like to submit my resume for the same. With over 2 years of experience as a server in a high-end restaurant and proficiency in English and Spanish, I believe I have all the capabilities that a post of ‘server’ in a restaurant as prestigious as yours demands.

In my current capacity as a server, I am responsible for performing the following tasks:

  • Greeting customers in a cordial manner
  • Ensuring the tables are properly set
  • Presenting menus to customers and providing information about the listed food items and beverages
  • Answer any query that customers may have regarding the menu
  • Taking orders
  • Informing the kitchen staff about customers’ orders and serving customers
  • Ensuring that the food and beverages are served to customers in a timely manner
  • Supporting other staff members, such as the maintenance or reception staff, as and when required

I am a quick learner and love working in a fast-paced environment. I pride myself on my ability to handle stress well. My supervisors have, time and again, praised me on my ability to maintain my calm and perform the job to the best of my ability even in highly stressful situations.

I am known to be a well-mannered, friendly, and amicable individual. As a server, my endeavor is to serve my customers well, and I do everything possible to ensure that they leave the restaurant completely satisfied with the service provided to them.

I believe my experience and skills would prove to be a valuable asset to your esteemed restaurant. I strongly hope that you will me give an opportunity of a personal interview. Thank you for your time and consideration..
